About

Hello and welcome! I am a graduate of the Greenspace Horticulture program at Red River College. I love all kinds of plants: annuals, perennials, shrubs, and trees. I love native plants especially and how they form a working relationship with the prairie birds, pollinators, and insects.

I have enjoyed working in many greenhouses; whether it be organic or not, small or large. Studying and working at the Red River College greenhouses (the industry standard and passive-solar greenhouses) was a dream come true.

I also give various Horticulture workshops. Topics include native perennials, pollinators, and now for 2024 – Sustainable Weed Control! The presentation I used is here > Winnipeg Weed ID PDF

Previously I worked in a variety of industries: non-profit, universities and colleges, and the great land of music. I’ve had many titles in my life: Student of Greek and Roman Classics. DJ at UMFM. Photographer. Graphic Designer. Web Designer. Social Media Manager. Graduate of Greenspace Horticulture. Gardener. Assistant Grower and Manager of a Commercial Greenhouse.

The longest place I have loved has been the University of Manitoba, my alma matter. I previously was a longtime supporter, volunteer, and DJ at the radio station, UMFM 101.5 for nearly 20 years.

I enjoy being creative and helping others, and am blessed by my many clients, coworkers, and managers for that ability to do so.
